- How is AEO different from SEO?
- SEO targets search-engine result pages — rankings, keywords, backlinks. AEO targets generative answers: structured data the model can extract, content phrased as clear answers, and crawler access for AI bots like GPTBot and ClaudeBot. The two overlap, but a site can rank well on Google and still be invisible to AI answer engines.
